The Basic of Content Enrichment

The primary step for enriching your content is to check all the vital elements of your content. These elements are the first thing that the search engine and your audiences see on your content. These elements are your content URL, meta title, meta description, content title (h1), and your first paragraph.

In our previous blog post about how to accelerate your organic traffic, we introduce you to a tool from Story Based that can help you improve your CTR. Using this tool, you can also analyze your URL, meta title, and meta description for possible enrichment. Ensure that the target keywords are integrated with your URL, meta title, and meta description, while also making sure that your search snippets are appealing for the search audience.

Your content title (headings) and your first paragraph are also an essential element for you to enrich. If possible, include your target keywords without compromising the audience's experiences when they are consuming your content.

Filling The Gap Within Your Content

Content enrichment is more than just adding words into your content. But it is about adding more value to your audiences and giving more relevance between your content and the audience's intent.

You can use a tool like LSIGraph to generate the LSI keywords. These keywords can be integrated into existing content you have, adding color and perspective within your content. It is much better, however, to create the extra line on your content with these keywords. The LSI keywords enrich and expand your content, giving it more opportunities to reach more audiences.

Images and other multimedia content

The search engine result pages consist of more than just text results. It also consists of images and other multimedia content, by adding these to your content help to improve the user experience. Relevant images and multimedia content are more engaging for the audiences. It can also give the content a chance to rank on other types of search results.

Competitor Keywords

Using the Ahrefs Content Gap report that we introduce on our previous blog, we can identify keywords from our competitor landing page. Instead of using the root domain, we use the exact URL here.

Similar to the LSI Keywords, you can either integrate the relevant keywords into the existing line of your content, or you can add it to new lines on your content.

(Bonus) Strengthen Your Enriched Contents With Internal Links

The final step after your content is enriched and re-published is to give it a push with internal links from reliable and relevant pages within your website. You can find these pages using the Top Pages report in Ahrefs.

Pair your content based on the relevancy and make sure that the internal links also help the audience navigate your website better.
