A passage that only works in place
A section that opens "This means that..." breaks the moment someone lifts it out. Whatever "this" pointed at stayed behind on the page. The same goes for a section that never names its subject, or one that buries its answer under four sentences of throat-clearing. Read top to bottom and the page holds together. The passage an assistant hands back is the one that has to stand on its own.
What it will not tell you
Answer Ready reads structure. Whether a passage is correct or worth anyone's time sits well outside what it can see. The report says as much on a tab of its own. What it can judge is shape: whether a section names its subject and survives being pulled out of the page.

Your sections drawn on your own page
Answer Ready outlines every section on the rendered page and color grades it by score. A marker in the gutter carries the worst issue. Click one to open the penalties behind it with the offending sentence highlighted in place. You read all of it on your own page.
A score for every section
One number for a whole page averages the weak sections into the strong ones. Answer Ready scores each section by itself and weights it by how much of the page it occupies. A broken six-hundred-word section outranks a broken fifty-word one. Open any row to read the sentence that produced the score.
Every unsourced number and where it sits
Answer Ready sweeps every percentage, sum of money and multiplier out of the text. For each one it looks for a source in the same sentence or the one after. What comes back is a list of the figures with nothing behind them and the sentences they sit in. An undated statistic is uncitable however good its source.
A fix list ranked by how much it costs you
Findings group by kind and rank by severity. Ties break on how much of the page each one touches. The top item is where an afternoon buys you the most. Pick your industry and the advice on schema, entity and sourcing retunes to the pages you publish.

Read the five subscores
Passage independence, structure, answer position, sourcing, entity clarity. A composite on its own would leave you guessing which of the five dragged it down. The breakdown answers that before you open anything.
Outline the page
One button draws your graded sections back onto the page. Click the worst marker and read the sentence that produced it, in place.
Work the fix list
Start at the top of the list. Fix the first item and run the check again to see the section score move.

Split at heading boundaries
Mozilla Readability pulls out the main content. That is the library behind Firefox Reader View. Answer Ready splits what comes back at h1, h2 and h3 boundaries. Most retrieval pipelines chunk a page the same way. Navigation and code editors drop out on the way through.
Seven page profiles
Answer Ready works out what kind of page it is looking at before it grades anything. The rule set switches to match. A landing page never gets told its marketing copy has a prose problem. Documentation never gets penalized for putting syntax ahead of argument.
English and Indonesian rules written separately
The Indonesian rules were written from scratch. Anaphora follows the noun in Indonesian. The stalling phrases differ and questions carry no auxiliary verb to key on. The report names the language it read and whether your lang attribute told it or it worked that out from the text.

Where do I install it?
It is live on the Chrome Web Store. The install button at the top of this page goes straight to the listing. There is no charge and no account to create.
What does Answer Ready measure?
Whether each section of a page can be lifted out on its own and still work as an answer. Answer Ready splits the page at heading boundaries the way a retrieval system does. Every section then gets scored for passage independence, structure and answer position, with sourcing and entity clarity measured across the page. All of it is a judgement about shape.
How is it different from Agent View?
Agent View compares what renders for a visitor against the raw HTML a crawler receives. It answers one question: can an assistant read your page at all. Answer Ready takes readable text as given and asks what happens next. Two different questions earned two extensions.
Is it free and does it need an account?
Free, with nothing to set up. Install it and click the icon on any page to run the check. There is no paid tier waiting behind it.
Does Answer Ready send my pages to Search Agency?
No. The extension makes no network requests at all, down to never re-fetching the page in front of it. There is no server behind it and no analytics inside it. Our build script refuses to package a release if a network call turns up anywhere in the shipped code. The one time anything leaves is when you click through to our audit page yourself. Section 13 of our privacy policy sets out what that link carries.
Will it tell me my content is wrong?
No. The report devotes a tab to saying so. Judging whether a passage is correct or current sits outside anything the extension can see. What it reads is shape: whether a section names its subject and sits under a heading that says what it answers. A page has to clear that bar before anyone can cite it. Clearing it is no guarantee that anyone will.
Does it work on product pages and documentation?
Yes. Each page type gets its own rules. Answer Ready reads the page type from schema and DOM signals before it grades anything. Product pages drop the prose rules and get graded on entity and sourcing. Documentation relaxes the answer-position rule because reference material has every reason to put syntax ahead of any claim. Landing pages lose the thin-section penalty. Marketing sections are short by design.
Does it read Indonesian?

Chrome says the extension is not trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing. Is something wrong?
No. Chrome adds an extension to that trust list only after it has sat in the Web Store for a few months with a clean policy record. Every newly published extension shows this dialog. Large publishers get it too. You will see it only with Enhanced Safe Browsing switched on. Standard protection shows nothing at all. The dialog clears on its own as the listing ages. What is worth checking meanwhile is what the extension does. Answer Ready makes no network requests at all and has neither a server nor analytics. Section 13 of our privacy policy lists every permission and the reason for it.
